Alma

The Alma (fka Walnut Towers) is an 86 unit, 100% Project Based Voucher property in downtown Mankato, MN. When Trellis Co. purchased the property, it had a lot of deferred maintenance. The project underwent an occupied rehab in 2024. Renovations included replacing plumbing stacks, the roof, and windows; replacing cabinets, countertops, flooring, vanities, and appliances in units; and upgrading common areas including community rooms, adding a fitness center, and computer lab. Joy Dev Co provided project management from MHFA awards through financial closing, leading design development and financial due diligence processes, in concert with Trellis Co. staff.
